Wooden tableware needs sterilization after being used for a long time, but alcohol must not be used, because high concentration of alcohol will damage the wood surface coating.
For sterilization of wooden tableware, soak it in warm water at 50-60 ℃. Proper cleaning and storage can also prolong the service life of wooden tableware. If the tableware has been used for a long time, you should always observe whether the tableware is discolored, worn, cracked, or even attached with mildew. If so, you should replace it immediately. Because the damaged tableware is easy to breed mold, the tableware with long bacteria is also very harmful to the body.
You can also apply olive oil regularly to maintain the wood and restore its bright color. However, it should be noted that the pores of the wood will be contaminated with fragrance. It is not recommended to use scented sesame oil or apply too much to avoid oil consumption.
